Texas Best Bird Egg Collection

• Texas best bird egg collection was put together by Robert Moore of the Waggoner Ranch in Vernon, Texas. Robert started collecting bird eggs in 1888. The collection numers over 10,000 eggs representing 750 species of wild birds. When I was growing up near Vernon, it was common knowledge that anyone venturing onto the Waggoner Ranch disappeared forever.
